Mission Statement:
The American International School of Monrovia’s mission is to offer its present and ever-changing student population a challenging curriculum (designed to meet or exceed U.S. Standards), while enabling AISM's student body to achieve their full social, intellectual, emotional and physical potential.  Our intellectual community teaches values and good manners, is dedicated to academic excellence, demands responsibility and promotes the power of collaboration, creativity and critical thinking.

June 20, 2018

Great Expectations! And a Great Year! On behalf of both the faculty and staff, I would like to pass along our gratitude for the transformation that has occurred here at the American International School of Monrovia during our 2017-2018 “Year of the Mountain Zebra”.

Throughout this school year, we all took responsibility, together as a community, to build an even better American International School of Monrovia. During the “Year of the Mountain Zebra”, we used the two most important ingredients of our educational process: quality communication, alongside positive parent involvement. These are the essential elements for the partnership between home and school; and with these elements firmly in place, the American International School of Monrovia saw unbelievable growth in Math, English and Science since we first started administering the “Measure of Academic Progress” test in 2014.
These MAP scores are attached.

As the “Year of the Mountain Zebra” comes to a close, I would like to thank all the families, students, and parents who worked with us side by side over our ten-month academic journey.

To those families, staff and friends who will be moving on, we wish you the best of luck, and we thank you for traveling on this journey with us. For those families that will be returning, we look forward to working with you again and to continuing on the road that we have placed ourselves firmly on; the road to becoming life-long independent learners.

As stated yesterday: “It’s not what you have, it’s what you do with what you have that makes all the difference.”
For AISM … we have the community! (As pictured below)
