Great First Half of Our School Year! Once again, on behalf of the faculty and staff, I would like to pass along our gratitude for the continual school transformation that has occurred here at the American International School of Monrovia during our “Year of the Wildebeest.”
Over the last several years, we all took responsibility together, as a community, to build an even better American International School of Monrovia. That work continued during the vacation period, as the PTA “DID IT AGAIN!!”
As you can see from the “before and after pictures”, our gym (the finest in Monrovia) has been enhanced and upgraded with a fresh coat of paint, and a redesign of our school logo.
Before: 2007 (Suba Srikumar’s First Year)
After: 2019 (Suba Srikumar’s Eleventh Year)
In addition, the PTA raised the bar to assist the Lower School classes that are not authorized, at the present time, to bring their own Chromebooks to school. Students in Grades 4 and higher may bring in one of the three approved models of Chromebooks.
Indeed during my tenure here at The American International School of Monrovia, we have had the unwavering support of our entire community. On behalf of all of us who belong to this community, we want to pass along a special “thank you” to the PTA. Over the years, the PTA has undertaken significant projects, from artificial grass, to Library books, to our very first Chromebooks in 2013, as they continue to enhance your students’ educational experience here at the American International School of Monrovia.
The AISM PTA knows that meeting and exceeding International school norms is an ongoing process…and one that takes a lot of continual energy and effort. During this vacation break, they have shown that like a tenacious wildebeest, they will do what is needed to keep moving the American International School of Monrovia forward.
From all of us here at the American International School of Monrovia, Happy New Year! It was great to see your students this morning, well rested, and ready to learn tenaciously.
However, it was also great to see all the presents that the PTA has provided our AISM community with, allowing us to start to the 2019 year…strong!
