Great First Half of Our School Year! Once again, on behalf of the faculty and staff, I would like to pass along our gratitude for the continual school transformation that has occurred here at the American International School of Monrovia during our “Year of the Wildebeest.”
Over the last several years, we all took responsibility together, as a community, to build an even better American International School of Monrovia. That work was recognized in 2016 when we became the first internationally accredited school in Monrovia in over 27 years!
Having the actual certificate for our community is great, however, it is what’s behind the accreditation that is most important. Many key processes and procedures, academic standards, and other metrics, had to be fully implemented to gauge the strength of our academic program before the accreditation was granted. The work on these standards was, and continues to be, needed to maintain our goal of continual school improvement.
To continue to meet and exceed International school norms is an ongoing process…and one that takes a lot of ongoing energy and effort that, like that of a tenacious wildebeest, is needed to move the American International School of Monrovia forward.
However, even a Wildebeest needs to rest. The rest for the Wildebeest is during the heat of the night. The rest for our community starts tonight!
From all of us here at the American International School of Monrovia, Season’s Greetings and Happy Holidays! We look forward to seeing you, well rested, and ready to learn tenaciously on January 7th, at 8:15am.
